Using a novel, high definition point-of-view camera Dr. Lamperti narrates an intra-operative video showing an overview of how closed septoplasty surgery is performed.
For a while now I've been working on a method of video recording facial plastic surgery from the surgeon's perspective. My latest video is the first one in which I was able to use my new SurgeonCam system. I'll go into more detail about the camera setup in a separate blog post; in brief, the system is a modified point-of-view camera from Seattle-based Contour that I then mounted to my headlight.
One of the benefits of this setup is that you''ll better see many aspects of surgery that are difficult to record when filmed by a bystander.
