Ever wonder how rhinoplasty surgeons break the nose during nose job surgery to either straighten or narrow the nasal bones?
A common manuever in rhinoplasty surgery is to create bone fractures in the nasal bones in order to mobilize them to place them in either a straighter or narrower position. There's a lot of mystery involve in how this is done, however, so I decided to video record the process of making these medial and lateral osteotomies in an actual patient in the operating room (with the patient's permission, of course).
